My name is A. Steve Willingham and I am blessed to be the Pastor here at Kenner First.

I am married with two married children and six grandchildren. Back in 1982 my family and I headed to Trevecca Nazarene University for me to attend and begin to fulfill what I felt God calling me to do. All through my years at Trevecca I was heavily involved with the local church and many times had the opportunity to preach there and was called on to go out to area churches to fill in when the need was there.

Back in April of 2011, I accepted the job of golf course superintendent in Luling Louisiana and moved to where I am today. The people at Kenner First have been kind enough to ask me to be the pastor of their church. The people here are wonderful and have a great spirit about them. After many rounds of prayer I felt that this is what God wants me to do. I have a very good job here at the golf course and am able because of this to have the flexibility to serve this local church. I also need to tell you a little bit about my wife. She is the Youth Pastor at the Lewisburg First Church of the Nazarene in Tennessee and is working toward ordination. She is moving here this summer. I have grown to love and feel a deep burden for the people here at Kenner First. I am firmly convinced in my heart that the circumstances that have led me here are exactly what God planned.
